Raptor-class Frigate
Blue Phantom Chronicles
Description
The Raptor-class Frigate is a medium-sized capital ship used by Khetarian corporate forces as well as concern officials as a mobile base of operations and to protect their most valuable assets in pirate infested sectors. Incorporating a host of offensive and defensive weaponry for area superiority its large forward hangar offers space for fighters or supply craft.
Raptor Frigates are to be regarded a hybrid between a frigate and a destroyer. While their slender shape seems disadvantageous under direct assault, it also reduces their overall profile, compensating for only moderate shielding. On the offensive the spread-out weapon layout allows for a wide firing arc for a majority of the ship's weapons.

Dev notes & Origins
The Raptor's design originated as a tiny sketch I drew into a small notebook, which, unfortunately I lost, leaving and forgetting it in a train I was riding.
Some extracted bits of the HD remake would serve as foundations for the creation of other ships like the Seraphim.

HD Remake
That remake is actually older than some of my current non-HD ships. In fact, if you look closely you may find that ships like the Seraphim or the Titan-class Battlehsip are actually using parts of the HD-Raptor's neck section. Yup, I'm that lazy!
Main focus, apart from more details is to rework the shape of the head section: Shrink down the hangar, fix some odd shapes of the module and partially close up those weird gaps towards the rear of the head.
